Vegetables are obviously healthy for you, but did you know that the Blanch leeks have special energising powers that make you feel a 100% fitter. The leeks below are therefore going by Courier tomorrow morning to the Welsh Rugby team hotel to make such powerful soup that the English team won’t stand a chance against them on Saturday!!!

  1. Wales to beat England? I’ll have whatever Medwyn’s drinking! It’s obviously strong stuff!

  2. Bugger!

    1. Well I did tell you, I still haven’t got my voice back properly after Saturday night!

  3. Where were your grandons Medwyn. They didn’t come for the carrots before I left?

    1. Richard did go down to the Harvest Pavilion about 5 o’clock but he said you weren’t there. Never mind I might get some again from you next year. I just like to mix up the selection process with other quality long carrots to try and improve my own strain. Congratulations again on your Collection, it was very well balanced all round and strong on each vegetable.

  4. Thanks Medwyn, yes i’ll make sure you get some next year 🙂

  5. Gargantuan parsnips, mammoth pumpkins and the longest leeks in the land – Britain’s most prestigious vegetable growing competition, is heading north from its Somerset home this year, to take up residence at the foot of the beautiful Malvern Hills in Worcestershire.
