Welcome to the 2026–2027 Seed, Plant and Sundries Catalogue

Firstly, I would like to thank all our existing and loyal customers, some of whom have been with us for many years, for your continued support and custom. It is very much appreciated.

Unfortunately, like many businesses, we have experienced increases in our costs. Rising heating, lighting and courier charges have meant that we have had to increase the prices of some of our plants and fertilisers. We have done our very best to keep these increases to a minimum.

Much to my frustration, and to the disappointment of some of our customers, we experienced serious problems with the postal service last year, resulting in some plants unfortunately not reaching their destination. The situation became so problematic that my MP contacted the postal authorities on our behalf, sadly without resolving the issue. Where possible, plants were resent, and in other cases we provided a full refund.

To help prevent this happening again, all live plants will, wherever possible, be sent using a 24-hour tracked service. We hope this will provide a more reliable service and greater peace of mind for everyone.

We hope you have enjoyed growing, eating and, perhaps, exhibiting our vegetables at your local shows and at National level. It is always a great pleasure to hear about the success our customers have had with our varieties.

Please do visit our website and online shop regularly, as these may contain new cultivars and other products that I select throughout the year. Some of these may not appear in our printed seed catalogue.

New Varieties and Premium Plants

Every year we source new and exciting varieties of vegetables. These will be highlighted with a star alongside the variety name.

We are also continuing with our Premium range of plants, which are posted to you using a franked 24-hour, unsigned service in strong cardboard boxes. These plants are grown in the largest-size Jiffy-7 pellets. Each individual plant is carefully wrapped in a polythene bag and secured to the end of the box to minimise movement and damage during transit.

On receipt, the plants will be ready for potting on into 4- or 5-inch pots.

Seedlings will be posted in strong plastic containers to help protect them from damage during transit.

Free Seed Offer

As a trial, we are offering two free packets of a potential new culinary and/or show-bench variety with every order over £150.00, provided the order is placed before 1 March 2027.

Seed orders will be posted as soon as possible, although occasionally dispatch may be delayed until fresh seed stocks are available. All orders received by mid-December will be posted before Christmas.

Please note: No seed will be posted between 18 December 2026 and 6 January 2027.

Our office hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Seed Quality and Ordering Information

All our seed is heat-sealed in Aluminium Foil Mylar vacuum bags to help maintain freshness for as long as possible. Seeds are then sent in padded envelopes.

I operate strictly as a mail-order business and do not have a retail outlet, something which unfortunately some customers have discovered to their disappointment.

Please note that the sale of all plants and Allium bulbs is restricted to the UK only.

Some of our seed may be chemically treated, so please take sensible precautions when handling and sowing it.

We aim to process and respond to all orders as quickly as possible. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Due to increased banking charges, we are unable to accept cheques for less than £10.00.
